The value of friendship between Forrester’s and Jamal has a good lessen in life. For example, when the first time Forrester’s and Jamal start their friendship, it looks like bad. Having patient as Jamal is ignoring little things while he having relationship with Forrester’s, it helps him to become a good friend with Forrester. In addition, do not judge person by looking because Forrester’s looks mean to him at the begging of movie then it turn out to be nice person. Jamal and Forrester’s friendship is significant because they put aside both their differences of age to help each other out. For example, Jamal had a passion for writing but he had to hide it from his friends. He is a super smart student but was not able to share this with this world, suddenly when he meets Forrester that is when his life changed. Forrester taught him how to become a better writer by challenging Jamal to write from his heart. In return, Jamal taught Forrester to overcome his fear of leaving his house. A second examples in the film that really caught my attention was when his teacher caught Jamal for plagiarism. Forrester came to Jamal’s school suddenly to defend Jamal and his work. Forrester usually does not go outside on his own, but when he found out that Jamal was in trouble, he rushed to the school to help. That was what makes their friendship so significant; they helped each other out when they were in need.
